Job: Denial Specialist, Case Management - FT

Job Description

Oversees and coordinates all denial/underpayment activity through Case Management. Compiles composite reports from individual reports of daily generated denials received. Determines workflow of denial follow up, prepares accumulative log, and updates as required. Responsible for upfront authorization database maintenance and initiates and/or resolves completely and timely. Assigns accountability and examines work for accuracy, follow through, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.


Regulatory Requirements:

· High school graduate, with some college courses.

· Five or more years of previous hospital experience in all aspects of business office functions.

· Knowledge of JCAHO and state regulations for both acute and skilled nursing facilities.

· Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.

Language Skills:

· Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

· Additional languages preferred.


· Basic computer knowledge
