Job Description

-The RN Float Pool is non-benefitted; hours and schedule will vary. Must work within one of the following 3 clinical clusters. 
-The clinical clusters are ICU/CVICU/Telemetry/ED and Telemetry/Med-Surg/ED. May additionally support OR,  PACU, and Cath Lab (based on clinical competencies) but these are outside the core cluster.

-Work a minimum of 12 hours per week on average.

-Work  24 hours on the weekend shifts in a month period. Weekends defined as Fri, Sat, and Sun.

-Looking for at least 3 years acute care hospital RN experience in the clinical cluster of ICU/Telemetry/ED or 3 years experience as an RN in Med-Surg/Tele/ED. BLS & ACLS required. PALS current or will need to obtain if working ED and / or PACU.

-Day shift 7a and night shift 7p are available. (ED and specialty care shift hours can vary from these).

-Team work and a high degree of professionalism are two of our key core values.

-Pool nurses provide direct patient care, supervise non-licensed personnel as assigned in the acute care setting.

-Communicates with physicians/director/clinical coordinators/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

-Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

-Will be required to float to Tempe St. Luke's Hospital as needed. 


-Current AZ RN license or able to obtain.

-BLS, ACLS, PALS as required.

-At least 3 years of RN experience acute care/critical care experience preferred.

-BSN preferred
